  1. Great feisty character Anne plays (is Savage a real surname one could really wish to hand down through the generations?) Great to know that they did script such strong female roles even back in the day.

    Did they really have to do that to her character in the end though, I thought happy endings were obligatory in Hollywood movies until recently.

    I’m learning a lot about the black and white movie era from this website. Amazing plots, glimpses of history, etiquette, decency, moral values and hono[u]r that people had back in those days, notwithstanding they did break down sometimes. Precious materials, wonderful that they’ve been preserved for us all to enjoy anytime for free. Amazing times we live in.
